The small print, in plain words
Privacy, cookies & terms
Short version: I use your enquiry to reply to you, and nothing else. No list, no newsletter, nothing sold, no advertising on this site.
Your enquiry
When you send the form I keep what you typed — name, contact details, town, level and what you want to play — so I can reply and, if we go ahead, teach you properly. It is emailed to me and stored in a private database on AWS in Ireland. I do not sell it, share it, or add you to any mailing list.
If you do not become a student, I delete the enquiry within a year. If you do, I keep contact details and lesson notes while we are working together, and delete them a year after the last lesson.
Cookies
This site carries no advertising and no advertising cookies. There are exactly three things stored on your device:
- Your cookie choice — so you are not asked twice. Necessary.
- An unsent enquiry draft — so a failed send never eats what you wrote. Necessary, stays on your device, never reaches me unless you press send.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — a bot check on the enquiry form only. Necessary.
If you allow it, Google Analytics counts visits (IP anonymised, 14-month retention, no cross-site profiles). It runs only after you say yes, and never otherwise. Change your mind any time: .
Children
Lessons with under-18s are arranged with a parent or guardian, and all communication goes through them — I do not message children directly. I hold a clear French criminal record extract (bulletin n°3) and a clear UK police certificate (ACRO) and will show either on request. No photo or recording of a child is published without written parental consent.
Your rights
Under UK/EU data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how I use it. One email does it — no forms, no delay tactics. The data controller is TechStuff SARL, Grasse, France. You may also complain to the CNIL or your local supervisory authority.
Lessons & terms
Lessons are booked as you go — no contracts, no term fees. Payment after the lesson unless we agree a package in advance. Please give 24 hours’ notice to cancel or move a lesson; life happens, and I would rather reschedule than charge you.
I carry professional liability insurance. Teaching happens at your home, my studio, or online by agreement. Advice about equipment is my honest opinion, not a guarantee — and I have no commercial relationship with any shop or brand.
